This application presents archived daily rainfall totals that support the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) Daily Rainfall Report. Data are collected from a regional network of rain gauges operated by the SFWMD and its partner agencies.
The daily rain gauge totals align with the 24-hour accumulation period beginning at 12:00 UTC (7:00 a.m. EST / 8:00 a.m. EDT) used by the National Weather Service. Missing or inaccurate gauge data are supplemented with radar estimates. The gauges included in the Daily Rainfall Report are reviewed and updated at least once per year, and sites may be added, removed, or renamed as the supporting rain gauge networks evolve.
